As an operator, you play a crucial role in the (production) process and, together with your colleagues, you are responsible for ensuring this process runs smoothly. In Rotterdam, they sort household PBD (plastic, cans, and beverage cartons) materials using various techniques, such as NIR (Near-Infrared) and ballistic separation.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Operating the installation, preventing and resolving malfunctions
- Managing and adjusting production processes from the control room as needed
- Performing inspections, resolving disruptions, and improving quality
- First-line maintenance
- Collaborating, working safely, and overseeing operations
Job Requirements
We are looking for a communicative Operator with a strong sense of responsibility who works closely with colleagues inside and outside the shift to achieve optimal results. You must always adhere to the applicable quality, safety, and environmental regulations. You enjoy working in the field, within the installation, and near the control room.
Main job requirements:
- MBO (secondary vocational education) work and thinking level, at least Operator B or VAPRO A and B
- Demonstrable experience in the process industry is a plus (recent graduates are welcome to apply)
- Possession of a VCA (VOL) certificate or willingness to obtain it
- The following certificates are a plus: aerial work platform, forklift, shovel, VOP, first aid responder
- Willingness to undergo training and courses
- Willingness to work in a 3-shift system
